Solids Filling Equipment and Machinery

The Auger Filler is a volumetric type machine. The fill type and size is determined by the product characteristics. The function of the filler is to rotate an auger inside a tube and dispense a metered amount of product per revolution. This machinery can also be tooled for liquid dispensing.

The Pocket or Cup Filling Equipment dispenses product in volume amounts. A predetermined cup or pocket is rotated under a product feed vessel and fills the cup cavity to the top. As it rotates from that position the fill is wiped even with the top of the cup and rotates to an unload station with the container below. The load is dropped and the sequence continues. This type of equipment can range from one pocket fill to many pocket rotary fillers.

Obviously this fills by weight and not volume. Machines can range from 1 scale to multiple scales depending on machine speeds. The more complex multi bucket scale systems are micro processor controlled for more accurate fills.

This category includes fillers capable of handling a wide range of products, such as vegetables, fruits, spices, snacks, grains and delicate products. Our Direct Filling technique uses the container as a measuring device for precise filling. The shake, while progressively filling feature, orients the product within the container to achieve a uniform fill density. The fill angle determines the fill volume. Output speed is determined by product type and filler model.
