HOW IT WORKS
Inline Fitment placing machinery applies fitments to the neck finish of bottles in continuous motion while on a single conveyor. The Over Caps are fed single file down a chute to a chute end or escapement where caps are stripped one at a time by either the neck finish of a container, or are picked and positioned into a vertical carousel that places the fitments onto the neck finish of the traveling bottle, in this case timed by a feed screw. Then a down pressure system dependent on the above options snaps the fitment in place. Fitments are oriented to travel down the cap chute using several methods including vertical sorters, centrifugal sorters, vibratory bowl sorters, or elevator sorters depending on the Fitment and speed requirements. Bottles or containers are stabilized and driven through the capping machine using a belt system.
Containers feeding into a Single Head Inline Fitment Inserter reach an indexing/anti-rotational system which places the container under the single fitment chuck. There are several variations of indexing systems employed by Inline Single Head Fitment Inserter machines.
Many times, fitments are placed, and a standard cap is torqued onto external threads (pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, distilled spirits, other flow restrictions).
Inline Fitment Inserters are available using various configurations dependent upon speed requirements as well as fitment/container configurations. Fitment Inserting Machines are commonly used in the food, dairy, distilled spirits and cosmetic industries.

Why it is Used with Capping Machinery
Bulk Cap Elevator
Bulk Cap Elevators are used to automatically maintain the amount of caps in a cap sorter allowing for optimal sorter operation while eliminating the need for operators to load caps and maintain reasonable quantities of caps.
Usually, the operation of the elevator is integrated to the capper using a variety of cap level sensors.
Cap Blowers use filtered air to blow caps to a cap sorter utilizing tubing that guides the caps to the cap sorter.
Cap Blowers can be advantageous because they can feed caps at a high rate, and can be placed further away from the sorter itself.
