HOW IT WORKS

Products flow into the product infeed conveyor of Used Pick and Place Case Packers, at which time bottles are collated to match the pattern of the case. Round products are crowd fed into these lanes, while non-round products require a laner that automatically single files containers into each infeed lane. Cases are generally fed into the system at the same height of the products. Once the products are arranged in their pack pattern, and a case is in its position to be packed, a pick system will grab each prearranged product pattern, pick it vertically, transfer it horizontally, then drop to place the products in the case. These pick and place heads operate with either mechanical clamping mechanisms or by utilizing vacuum. Once each case is packed they exit the machine on a discharge conveyor.

COMMERICAL APPLICATION

Used Pick and Place Case Packers operate using intermittent motion but are more precise than their drop packer counterparts. Used Pick and Place Case Packers can be configured to pack products in a multi layer format or are many times used to pack simpler products like bottles or cans. Each product and corresponding pattern require a dedicated pick and place head to operate. These machines are commonly used in the food, dairy, liquor and beverage industries.
