HOW IT WORKS
Used Hot Melt Glue Case Erectors are designed to pick a knock down case from a magazine, form the case, and seal it using hot melt glue applicators. HSC, RSC, Tablock, and other types of cases can be produced depending on the design of the machine. Cases erected using hot melt glue are normally stronger than tape sealed counterparts and also eliminate downtime while changing rolls of tape. Once the case is formed and hot melt is applied, some form of compression system is utilized to compress flaps while hot melt glue solidifies. The formed case is then held for a short time to ensure that the glue dries and hardens, providing a strong seal. Glue sealing of cases can also mean less change outs when compared to tape, saving time during production runs. A glue bottom seal case erector provides much stronger and secure seal thanks to its strong, rigid bond and are ideal for heavier contents in a container.
COMMERCIAL APPLICATION
Used Hot Melt Glue Case Erectors glue systems are nearly always used for high speed production. This type of case erector can operate at speeds up to 70 cases per minute. Case erectors using hot melt are always exclusively used in high speed environments such as: beverage, dairy, distilled spirits, among other industries.
