HOW IT WORKS

Used Cooling Tunnels provide solutions for cooling hot-filled products. The hot product is run through a stainless-steel tunnel which is fitted with a series of nozzles that spray cool water onto the product. At opposite ends of the cooling tunnel there is a blower and an exhaust fan to force large volumes of external air through the machine. Used Cooling Tunnels use this process to enhance the effect of evaporative-cooling. Product is able to be removed and observed through hinged stainless-steel doors.

Used Cooling Tunnels primarily use water for the primary cooling source, which is recirculated within each zone of the Cooling Tunnel. New water is only added to the system when the reservoir water exceeds the preset temperature. Evaporative cooling is provided through exhaust fans to cool the recirculating water and products.

COMMERCIAL APPLICATION

Used Cooling Tunnels cool containers after hot filling to preserve the taste and nutritional value of the product. It also helps with the labelling and handling of bottles down the production line. Glass bottles do not allow sticky adhesives to attach after they have been through hot filling equipment. Used Cooling Tunnels cool the bottle and allow the adhesive to stick preventing the label from falling off.
