Turnkey Supply of Packaging and Processing Equipment

Turnkey Packaging and Processing Machinery

Berks Plant Design and Maintenance's supply of Turnkey machinery and equipment includes reconditioning or rebuilding of the used piece of packaging or processing equipment, and configuring the piece of machinery for the customer's requirements. In many instances, machinery and equipment will also be supplied with additional integration and automation devices. As well as programming to support integration devices that will be installed in the field. After our in-house testing, the turnkey supply of machinery and equipment is then shipped to the customer. The packaging or processing equipment is very simply and rapidly commissioned with minimal adjustments or modifications.

Often Times, complete bottling and packaging lines are supplied Turnkey, as well as bottling line segments or groups of packaging and/or processing machinery supplied to replace a group of machines in the field that may be problematic, or a group of machines that are a hindrance to production either in terms of downtime or speed restrictions.

BPDM will work on an individual basis with customers to find the ideal turnkey solution for each project. Turnkey solutions originating from used packaging and processing machinery are achieved not just through the reconditioning or rebuilding stages, but also demand proper replacement parts during these processes, as well as package specific components such as change parts, bottle handling parts, and upgrades to the existing automation. This is achieved via collaboration with the customer with regard to consultation, the application(s) and scope of work, integration techniques, as well as strong collaboration with strategic partners in terms of manufacture of engineered components that require specific production techniques.

Berks Plant Design & Maintenance, Inc. also manufactures many different custom or heavily customized pieces of packaging and processing equipment where existing used packaging and processing machinery, either reconditioned or rebuilt, cannot be configured for a given application utilizing existing methods of operation. This includes mechanical and automation customization designated during the customer's application and supplied scope of work

In this way, our relationship with our customers does not end at the completion and delivery of these turnkey pieces of packaging or processing equipment. We will require bulk samples of application specific materials, in order to set up and test the turnkey system in our plant. This allows our production team and our technicians to ensure that the entire system works efficiently, consistently, and reliably before shipping the machinery to its final destination. Berks Plant Design and Maintenance's supply factory acceptance testing on not only Turnkey equipment, but also for any piece of used packaging or processing equipment that has been quoted to a customer in a scenario where machinery and equipment is to be supplied running customer's application. The shipping of the equipment does not always indicate the end of the relationship either. Berks Plant Design and Maintenance's technicians will often times travel to the customer's plant to install, test and train production employees on the equipment. It is through all of these steps that the "ready to use" portion of the turnkey solution is achieved.
