Learn More About Berks Plant Design and Maintenance, Inc.

Used Pocket Type Bottle Unscramblers use a type of bowl called a "Pocket Bowl" which runs similar to a normal bowl. The difference between a pocket bowl and a normal bowl is the pocket bowl sets the containers neck upward or neck downward instead of neck leading or neck trailing. Some Used Pocket Type Bottle Unscramblers can come equip with a cleaner modification that allows bottles to be rinsed (check out our Bottle Rinsers page). After being unscrambled, containers will be put into a star wheel where the containers will be flipped neck downward and rinsed with an air solution. "In Chute" orientation can also be achieved with Used Pocket Type Bottle Unscramblers, allowing the containers to be set to either a neck upward or neck downward position depending on if there is a cleaner or not after the chute. From there the containers are continued down to the conveyor.

Used Pocket Type Bottle Unscramblers are able to handle containers of multiple weights up to 3grams. Used Pocket Type Bottle Unscramblers are mainly used within the Beverage and Pharmaceutical industries, and containers that can be used are plastic bottles, pill bottles, jars, and other different shaped containers. Depending on the needs of the production line, print and vision capability can be used within the rotary pocket.

Why it is Used with Unscramblers?

Pocket Type Bottle Unscramblers may sometimes have a Bulk Feeder Elevator that is attached to it to allow the unscrambler bowl to be fed automatically instead of manually.

A flighted belt is used to take containers from a hopper to be fed into the Pocket Type Bottle Unscrambler from a desired height.

Elevator operation is started and stopped by a switch that will monitor the fill level of the container feeder hopper(bowl).
